Polar Grill Fest

The Meat House Shovels a Path to Redhook Brewery for Winter Grilling Festival

Local Butchers and Brewmaster Host Annual Polar Grill Fest January 25, 2014

If you’re not from New England, common sense tells you that grilling season is winding down now.  However, if you are from New England, you know that the winter season just means shoveling a path to your grill and dusting off the snow.  Come January, New Englanders also know that the frigid air and snowstorms mean it’s time for the annual Polar Grill Fest hosted by The Meat House and Redhook Brewery.

On Saturday,
January 25, 2014, from 12 to 5pm, The Meat House and Redhook Brewery will be
hosting the third annual Polar Grill Fest at the Redhook Brewery in Portsmouth,
New Hampshire, just down the street from the original Meat House location.
Since launching the winter grilling festival in 2012, The Meat House and
Redhook have entertained back-to-back sell-out crowds of over 3,000
enthusiastic New Englanders…and a few slightly confused out-of-towners.
Developing a cult following, the butchers and brewers will once again be firing
up the grills and shoveling snow to make way for the event’s local restaurants
and bands, activities, and of course, fresh grilled meats and plenty of ice
cold beer.

Open to all
ages, with a $5 entrance fee, this year’s Polar Grill Fest will be raising
funds for 3S Artspace, a local non-profit dedicated to presenting and supporting contemporary artists and their work in order to stimulate the artistic community and creatively engage and educate the public. All proceeds from
the event, including a percentage of all vendor sales, will benefit 3S Artspace
in their vision to support the arts through education, engaging and showcasing
local artists, and providing the foundation and outlets to accommodate them.

“We’re from
New Hampshire and we’ve grown our business here, so we know this community
because we’ve always been a part of it,” said Justin Rosberg, co-founder and
CEO of The Meat House. “We’re very excited to have 3S Artspace as a benefactor
of the event and we believe their three space concept of visual art, performing
art and culinary art matches up perfectly with the entertainment intent of
Polar Grill Fest.”

About
Redhook Brewery

Redhook was born out of the energy and spirit of the early 80s in the heart of Seattle. While the term didn’t exist at the time, Redhook became one of America’s first “craft” breweries. From a modest start in a former transmission shop in the Seattle neighborhood of Ballard, to the current breweries in Woodinville, Wash., and Portsmouth, N.H., Redhook has become one of America’s most recognized craft breweries. While Redhook has “grown up” during the past 30 years, one thing has never changed – Redhook is still brewing great beers like ESB, Long Hammer IPA, Copperhook, Pilsner and seasonal brews. Most importantly, Redhook makes sure to have fun doing it.   Redhook's beers are available both on draught and in bottles around the country. For more information, visit www.redhook.com.
