Kids Festival features Wayne From Maine in Prescott Park on Saturday July, 20

PORTSMOUTH NH – On
Saturday, July 20, Prescott Park Arts Festival will fill the Park with fun and
activities just for the kids with their annual Kids Festival. Starting at 11
am, this family event promises to entertain the whole family with entertaining
performances from Wayne from Maine and Ben Rudnick and Friends. Kids and
families are encouraged to enjoy an afternoon of interactive musical acts and
fun family activities in Portsmouth’s Prescott Park.

“We’re all about family-friendly events here at the
Festival, but the Kids Festival is a special afternoon planned specifically for
the kids to appreciate,” says executive director Ben Anderson. “We love seeing
all the children dancing, laughing, and engaging with the performers on stage. When
you add in the great activities that we’ll be offering, like Sack Races, it
truly becomes a unique family event where everyone can come to enjoy time
together in Prescott Park.”

For over a decade Wayne from Maine has been performing and
recording music for children. The Wayne From Maine show is an adventure through
various musical styles designed for the young and young at heart.  Audience participation is always encouraged,
and it’s not unusual for volunteers to be invited up on stage to play various
instruments or sing. Wayne from Maine makes sure that the audience becomes part
of the show, so there's never a dull moment as Wayne inspires young minds to
think and laugh with his very own brand of "Edu-Tainment."

With countless kudos to their credit, including five
Parents’ Choice Awards, Ben Rudnick and Friends will open for Wayne from Maine.
Ben Rudnick and Friends consider their main focus to be providing a common
ground where all family members can, without compromise, enjoy a shared musical
experience. While their talented performances are best exemplified through live
shows, the group has multiple recommendations from accredited children’s press.
Scholastic Parent & Child Magazine describes Ben Rudnick and Friends as,
“Musical twists and jazzy tempos to get the whole family dancing – even Dad.”
Disney’s Family Fun Magazine gives an equally glowing review by saying, “Ben
Rudnick has a conversational singing style that's instantly engaging, an ear
for an infectious tune (and beat), and an affinity for fun-to-sing
lyrics."

As with all Prescott Park Arts Festival events, the Kids
Festival is free and open to the public, with a suggested $5-$8 donation.
