Go Green or Go Home

The Portsmouth High School Green Club invites you to a
clean-up on Saturday, October 26, 2013. It will be held in Island Park from
10am-12pm. We will be meeting in front of Shultzy’s with trash bags (but feel
free to bring your own bags and gloves).

On this day, there will also be an E-waste drive from
9am-12pm in the Portsmouth High School parking lot. This includes computers
(keyboards, mice, cables, monitors, etc.), TV’s, microwaves, blenders, phones,
stereos, speakers, batteries, and more. They will also dispose of mini fridges,
air conditioners, and dehumidifiers for $10.

 If not disposed of properly,
these materials could end up in a landfill leaking toxic metals into the ground.
Recycling also saves taxpayers’ dollars in regards to waste management fees.
