Go Dancing In Red

February is quickly approaching and it is national heart month. A time to reflect on the 43 million Americans living with heart disease and a time to educate everyone on making those healthy lifestyle changes to protect your heart.
Last year while attending a party for a dear friend I became ill and headed for the ladies room. Fortunately my friend came into the restroom and called 911 because I suffered a near fatal heart attack, 2 cardiac arrests, and was treated and sent to Boston to Brigham & Women's Cardiovascular Center where I received stent placement and later coronary bypass graft surgery. I was an extremely lucky woman to have gotten a second chance at life and love. I am here because of some of the things that have come through donations from people just like you. The use of AED's that shocked my heart back into rhythm, and a fairly new treatment where hypothermia is induced to slow the organs functions. When people "give with their hearts" it definitely makes a difference!
I was able to return to my passion which is teaching latin & ballroom dancing. Please join us this February 7, 2014 at Common Fence Point 933 Anthony Rd. Portsmouth, RI. for our Go Red For Woman Ballroom Dance. admission is $12.00 and $2.00 from each admission will go to the American Heart Association. Come celebrate women and life and show your support by wearing red on Februry 7th!!
If you can't join us please click on the link below and make your donation today. It will be greatly appreciated.
