Calling All Student Artists!


2014 Portsmouth Arts Guild's Annual

Emerging Artists Show

Do you have an “emerging
artist” in your family?  Why not have
their work exhibited in a gallery space? 
The Portsmouth Arts Guild Center for the Arts is providing their wall
space for our community’s budding artists!  
This upcoming student show is open to all students under 18 in RI and
Southeast MA.  Each student can submit up
to 3 works of art—any and all media accepted. 
Work must be ready to hang! 
Submitting artwork to the Emerging Artist show is FREEIntake will take place
at PAG on
Monday, February 24, 3-6 pm and Tuesday, February 25, 6:30 – 8:30pm.  Opening Reception: March 2, 2-4pm.  For more information:

Who can enter?

Any
student, 18 or under, living in Rhode Island or Southeast Massachusetts.



What to enter?



Artwork in any
media: paintings, drawings, photography, digital, sculpture, ceramics, etc. One
to three entries per student permitted. All 2-D artwork must be ready to
hang.  Framing is not required but it is
encouraged.  Unframed 2-D artwork should
be matted.



Is the art for
sale?



Students are
permitted to price their art for sale, but it is not required.  Much of the art in this show is not for sale.



Where to enter?



Bring your art to
the Portsmouth Arts Guild, 2679 East Main Rd., Portsmouth, (next to Saint
Paul’s Church.)  Artwork may be delivered
by students in person, or by their art teachers.



When to enter?



Submit your work
Monday, Feb. 24, 3-6pm, or Tuesday, Feb. 25, 6:30-8:30pm.



When is the
exhibit?



The gallery will be
open two weekends, March 1 & 2, and March 8 & 9, with the opening
reception on Sunday, March 2 from 1 to 3pm. 
Prizes will be awarded
at the reception.



What does it cost
to enter?



Nothing!



This is a
non-juried show, (that means everyone who enters gets their art displayed.)
