8th Annual Norman Bird Sanctuary 5k in honor of David Leys Jr.

The Norman Bird Sanctuary 5K has become a Father's Day weekend tradition for many, quickly becoming a favorite among runners & walkers alike, attracting participants from as far as California, Utah, Florida and Tennessee. USATF sanctioned, participants enjoy the scenic route past beautiful beaches and diverse landscapes.

In addition to being a fundraiser for the Norman Bird Sanctuary, the 5K honors David Leys Jr., diagnosed with ALS last year, a native islander who was a force behind the race from its inception, and a great supporter of NBS. Runners are given the opportunity to donate to the RI Chapter of the ALS Foundation in Dave's name.

Join us after the race back at the start for music and refreshments!
