Residents living along the coast should take precautions against possible flooding tonight, according to the National Weather Service.
The Taunton, MA, weather office reports that "splash over" and "minor coastal flooding" is possible tonight along Narragansett Bay during high tide.
"Peak astronomical tides will combine with strong winds and waves from a storm offshore. This may result in splash over or perhaps some very minor coastal flooding along coastlines in Narragansett Bay," according to the National Weather Service Web site.
The peak high tide will take place at 8 p.m.
Anyone living along the coast is asked to prepare for minor flooding.
