NWS: Flood Watch Issued for Wednesday Afternoon, Thursday Morning
The National Weather Service says flooding is possible in low-lying areas.
The in Taunton has issued a flood watch for Portsmouth from 5 p.m. this afternoon through Thursday morning.
Rain will continue to fall this afternoon with more rain tonight. Some locations could see up to 2.5 inches of rain overnight with more rainfall totals reaching 1.5 to two inches.
Flooding in poor drainage and urban areas is likely, along with small stream flooding, according to the National Weather Service.
