Portsmouth Abbey Running Back Earns League MVP Honor
Drake Kreinz '12 rushed for 1,110 yards with 15 touchdowns for the Ravens this fall.
running back Drake Kreinz '12 was selected as the Evergreen South Football League MVP for the 2011 season.
Kreinz, of Delafield, WI, led the Ravens to their second Evergreen title (5-0 league and 6-2 overall) since the league's inception in 2003. The last championship came in 2005.
Kreinz rushed for a team-high 1,110 yards on 130 carries and 15 touchdowns this season.

Kreinz, who is a dean's list student at Portsmouth Abbey, becomes the school's third running back to be honored as the League MVP. P.J. Arroyo '05 (Endicott College) and Ryan Silva '08 (Amherst College) were also selected.
"Drake has exceptional speed and quickness, and he is also a great competitor," said Al Brown, Portsmouth Abbey's Athletic Director and Head Football Coach. "He was a big part of our team's success. Drake will continue as a student-athlete at Penn State and will play lacrosse."
