Town Councilor Jim Seveney Interviewed on 'Portsmouth this Week'

Town Councilor Jim Seveney expresses his views on Portsmouth this Week.

This week's edition of "Portsmouth the Week," "the voice of Portsmouth Town Hall," featured Portsmouth Town Councilor Jim Seveney and Town Administrator John Klimm answering questions from host Doug Smith about several ongoing town issues, including the East Bay Energy Consortium, the Portsmouth wind turbine and the conservation easement on the Glen property.

Seveney, a Navy veteran, has been on the Town Council since 2004, following a family tradition for civic service set by his late father, for whom the Gardner-Seveney Sports Complex at the Glen is named. He discussed the importance of encouraging town residents to get involved in their local government by running for town council and other public offices. He also encouraged citizens to contact their Town Council members to express their opinions on issues they are concerned about. Telephone numbers and email addresses of all councilors are available on the Portsmouth Town Web site at www.portsmouthri.com.

This show will be aired on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. on Public Access TV (Cox channel 18) but is also available right now on Patch (above), on Youtube at http://youtu.be/WZgqIT_2vfM or from links on the Town and PEDC Web sites.
