Portsmouth Free Public Library To Offer Free Computer Classes

Don't Waste the Summer! Free Computer Classes at the Portsmouth Free Library start this month.

The will be offering computer classes with hands-on instruction in the coming weeks. The first series of classes will focus on building skills with Microsoft Excel and help students create an Excel workbook, apply formulas, format data and analyze the results. These Excel classes will meet from 10 a.m. to noon on Mondays, 23 July, 30 July, and 6 Aug. 

A second series of classes will address the use of Microsoft Powerpoint. Students will learn how to create an effective presentation by enhancing slides with charts, diagrams, photos and videos, and then broadcasting the results. Powerpoint classes will meet from 10 a.m. to noon on Mondays, 20 August, 10 September and 17 September.

These classes are funded by a grant from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act Broadband Technologies Opportunities Program (BTOP). You can sign up for one or all of the classes. Class size is limited so please call the library at 683-9457 to reserve a space or stop by to register for these free courses.
