Join ALT's Ted Clement, Historian Jim Garman at the Glen Saturday

Walking Tour of Glen Farm on Saturday

If you want to know more about the Aquidneck Land Trust's proposal to conserve the Glen properties and what this property means to Portsmouth's heritage, Preserve Portsmouth will hold a "Walk and Talk" at the Glen in Portsmouth on Saturday, July 7 starting at 9:30 AM. This event will start at The Brown House Front Porch, Linden Lane in Portsmouth. Ted Clement Executive Director of the Aquidneck Land Trust will be speaking about the Land Trust's proposal to conserve and enhance the Glen so that we can directly learn about the proposal and ask any relevant questions. Jim Garman, a local historian, will help us understand the incredible history of the Glen and why it is important to protect this priceless area from developmental pressures. Take this opportunity to learn more about the history of Portsmouth as we start to gear up for a celebration of the 375th Anniversary of Portsmouth's founding next year.
