Elmhurst Planning Committee recommendations discussed on Portsmouth this Week

Glen Conservation proposal and the Elmhurst Planning Committee's recommendations to the Town Council were examined on the 25 May edition of Portsmouth this Week.

The recommendations made to the Portsmouth Town Council by the Elmhurst Plannijng Committee at a workshop last Tuesday were discussed on the latest edition of Portsmouth this Week. This included the Aquidneck Land Trust's proposal to provide up to one million dollars to the town for demolition of the old Elmhurst school building in return for a conservation easement on the Glen property. The show was hosted by Doug Smith and guests were Steve Kirkpatrick, a member of the Elmhurst Planning Committee and Kathleen Melvin, a long-time Portsmouth resident.
