Our guest on last Friday's edition of Portsmouth this Week was Tina Dolen, Executive Director of the Aquidneck Island Planning Commission. Tina discussed the genesis and organization of the AIPC and several of its ongoing projects in support of the three Aquidneck Island Communities. These include the Island Bikeway Study, which is currently focused on the Portsmouth end of the island, and planning for the eventual acquisition and use of Navy surplus land along the west side of the island. AIPC is also overseeing the ongoing implementation of the Aquidneck Island Transportation Study on the island.
