Portsmouth's Top Tax Delinquents of 2011

Who owes the most in property tax dollars to the town?

One Pennsylvania-based company owes the town of Portsmouth more than $1.9 million in property taxes and some town leaders are questioning when the bill will be paid.

As of Wednesday, Development Co. Inc. of King of Prussia, PA, owes the town of Portsmouth a total of $1,923,133.90 in late property taxes. The amount owed includes taxes for several property holdings, as well as interest.

Phone calls and messages left with Carnegie Tower Development Co. have not been returned to date.

Portsmouth Town Finance Director David Faucher previously said he expects a payment to be made, but does not know when.

At least two other companies tied to Carnegie Abbey are behind in payments as well.
