For Sale: Portsmouth's Only Nightclub, 'The Beach House' Bar

Want to own one of Portsmouth's few bars? Now's your chance. The Beach House bar on Park Avenue is for sale.

The Beach House bar in Portsmouth's Island Park neighborhood is a favorite amongst motorcycle enthusiast in the summer, Roger Williams University students during the school year and "polar plunge" participants on New Year's Day.

However, that could become a thing of the past after the sale of this popular Island Park property.

The owner of The Beach House, located at 506 Park Ave., is selling the business and property, according to a real estate listing this week

According to town records, the property is owned by Shirley O'Brien of Warren, who purchased the building and land in 2007. The property, including land and two-story building, was valued at $312,200 earlier this year.

Advertised as the "only nightclub for miles around," The Beach House is being offered at $399,000, according to the real estate listing. The business, alone, is also being offered for $49,900.

The real estate agency for this property is Chad Kritzas Team-Keller Williams Realty

Editor's note: The property is not to be confused with The Beach House tanning salon, located just up the street.
