16th Annual Tiverton Four Corners Outdoor Sculpture Park Opening

The our Corners Arts Center is pleased to announce the 16th Annual Sculpture xhibit on the grounds of the Meeting House at Tiverton Four Corners.  This year’s exhibition has been curated by Kaitlin ullen, President of the acclaimed EVAC (Engaging Visual Artist Collaborative) of Rhode Island College.  Named for the poem ‘All Watched Over by Machines of Loving Grace’ by Beat Poet, Richard Brautigan, it’s theme will be focused on the interplay of mechanical
objects and with nature.

Kate states, “As the poem suggests, the exhibited
sculptures have the feel of industrial machinery and electronic mechanics, yet breath a natural presence among the woodland. The official opening reception is on July 22nd, which coincides with the South Coast Artists Open Studios. Artists in the show include William Martin, Mike Hansel, Kiki Sciullo, Howie Sneider, and Matt Moyer.”

EVAC (Engaging Visual Artist Collaborative) is an organization which is in charge of Rhode Island College’s
Sculpture Tour, which “is an outdoor sculpture program on the Rhode Island College campus where professional artists lease their sculptures to be displayed on campus in two year cycles. The program is designed so that students will be exposed to an extensive amount of sculptures throughout their college career at Rhode Island College. The Sculpture Tour is a modern reflection on the ever changing world of public art, a constant evolution in
creativity.”
