More Snow on The Way

Snow may make a mess of commutes on Monday and Wednesday.

Don't let Sunday's 50º weather fool you: winter is still very much here in Rhode Island. Forecasters are predicting two bouts of snow for the first full week of February, opening with snowfall on Monday.

Though Monday's snowfall won't be major, it may impact travel. Snow is expected to start between 5 a.m. and 7 a.m. before the morning commute. Total accumulations are projected to be between 1 and 3 inches, with snow winding down late in the afternoon.

Forecasters are keeping their eye on another weather system that could drop more snow on the area for Wednesday. WPRI's Tony Petrarca says this system could potentially have a significant impact on Wednesday's commute. Snow accumulations for Wednesday are still unclear.
