'Magic' Johnson, Celebrities Hit Carnegie Abbey Green on Tuesday

A host of celebrities teed off on Tuesday at the Carnegie Abbey Club to support local charities in the Second Annual Jeffrey Osborne Celebrity Golf Classic.

Tuesday morning's inclement weather didn't keep the likes of Earvin "Magic" Johnson and other Hollywood celebrities from teeing off at the Carnegie Abbey Club in the name of charity, reported FoxProvidence.com

The annual charity event, hosted by Rhode Island native Jeffrey Osborne, supports local charitable children's organizations like the Boys and Girls clubs, Rhode Island's Philharmonic Orchestra, the Met School, Buttonhole Golf Course and The Amos House.

The Jeffrey Osborne Celebrity Golf Classic is in its second year as an annual event. Last year's event raised more than $150,000 for these local organizations, reported FoxProvidence.com

This year's event drew celebrities singers and sports legends such as Smokey Robinson, Claudia Jordan, Doc Rivers, Reggie Jackson and James Worthy.
