Boaters and beach-goers - keep an eye to the sky this afternoon.
The National Weather Service says thunderstorms are heading for the south coast of Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
Heavy rainfall and lightning is possible with these storms, which are expected to arrive on the south coast of Rhode Island near Westerly at 11:30 a.m.
The storms should reach Dartmouth and Westport, MA, around noon.
If you see the storm approaching, the NWS reminds residents to take shelter. Head to your vehicle or a nearby building when storms approach.
Boaters should head to a safe harbor and stay below deck, according to the NWS.
