North Kingstown High School Students Complete EverFi Program

General Treasurer Gina M. Raimondo’s office was proud to congratulate the students of North Kingstown (NK) High School for their completion of the EverFi Financial Literacy curriculum. Many students also received college credit for their participation in the program through Rhode Island College’s Early Enrollment Program.

 

“The EverFi program encourages students to begin making smart financial decisions,” said Raimondo.  “By making financial literacy a priority in the classroom, we are giving our students the tools they need to become financially successful in the future.”

EverFi, sponsored at North Kingstown High School by People’s Credit Union, is Rhode Island’s web-based financial literacy program for high school students. The e-learning platform uses the latest in media technology to educate students about important personal finance matters including credit, student loans and budgeting.

The Rhode Island College Early Enrollment Program (EEP) offers college credit for highly motivated high school juniors and seniors. RIC’s EEP has accepted the EverFi program and, upon completion, awards students with three college credits
