DESCRIPTION:The Portsmouth Arts Guild Hosts its June Show:&nbsp\;Pure Fan
 tasy&nbsp\;\nPure Fantasy&nbsp\;is an all-media open show. &nbsp\;Artist
 s are free to interpret the theme however they like and there are no res
 trictions on media or subject.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;\n**All are welcome to join 
 us at Pure Fantasy&rsquo\;s opening reception on&nbsp\;Friday\, June 8\,
  from 6-8 pm.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;This event is free and open to the public.**\
 nGuest juror Kay Ritter will choose the show&rsquo\;s winners.&nbsp\;&nb
 sp\;Ms. Ritter is a Rhode Island resident who has been working as an art
 ist for more than 30 years.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;She studied sculpture at RISD b
 ut as a painter is primarily self-taught.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;In the mid-90s sh
 e began painting still life with a classical approach and careful observ
 ation of arranged objects.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;Her paintings have been exhibite
 d at the RISD Museum\, the Arnot Art Museum\, the Newport Art Museum\, a
 mong others.&nbsp\;\nPure Fantasy will run through July 8\, 2012. &nbsp\
