Bring your lunch and join Dr. Sarah Littlefield, Professor of English at Salve Regina University, for a discussion of Thornton Wilder’s Our Town on the porch of the Isaac Bell House. This event is funded by the National Endowment for the Arts as part of The Big Read, a national effort to encourage community-wide reading projects. More About Isaac Bell House
The Isaac Bell House was designed in 1883 as the home of Isaac Bell, a wealthy cotton broker and investor. The home was purchased by the Preservation Society in 1996. It is one of the best remaining examples of shingle style architecture in the country.
The home is a mix of Old English and European architecture with colonial American and exotic details.
