Come see Shawn Middleton, Storyteller Extraordinaire!
With his unique style of storytelling he brings stories to life with finger puppets, sound effects, voice dramatization, pauses, rhythm, sign language, mime and Hip Hop dance. Children, parents, teachers, librarians, and community members will be educated, entertained and engaged. Audiences don’t just listen. They sing, clap, dance, chant and roar with laughter.
For children in grades K through 5 enrolled in our summer reading program. This event is free and open to the public. For more information call the Children's Room at 683-9457.

Built in 1897, the Portsmouth Free Public Library provides information, services and a circulation of 75,000 articles, including books, tapes and videos, to the residents of Portsmouth. The 9,515 sq. ft. structure is owned and operated by the corporation, the Portsmouth Free Public Library Association. The children's room is located downstairs, while the computer area, reference and study area are situated on the main floor.The library provides a variety of services and classes.
