Mark your calendar now for Portsmouth Free Public Library’s Spring Book Sale on Saturday, June 16 at 10 AM to noon! Gently used books, music CDs, DVDs, and books on CD will be sold at bargain prices. Items may be purchased with cash or check. A preview sale will be held from 9 AM to 10 AM for members of the Library Association who have paid this year’s dues. Hundreds of titles of adult children’s materials will be available. The book sale helps the Library purchase materials for all ages.

Built in 1897, the Portsmouth Free Public Library provides information, services and a circulation of 75,000 articles, including books, tapes and videos, to the residents of Portsmouth. The 9,515 sq. ft. structure is owned and operated by the corporation, the Portsmouth Free Public Library Association. The children's room is located downstairs, while the computer area, reference and study area are situated on the main floor.The library provides a variety of services and classes.
