 uthor and school teacher Laura Backman knows a thing or two about disabi
 lity. Her father battled multiple sclerosis.&nbsp\;Backman&rsquo\;s hatc
 hed ducklings as part of a special project. One&nbsp\;hatchling was foun
 d tohave a neurological disorder similar to MS. Lemon the duck cannot wa
 lk or stand on her own. Backman has developed mobility devices which ass
 ist Lemon\, keeping her active and engaged. Lemon enjoys a full life as 
 a celebriduck of sorts. In 2008\, Backman authored a children&rsquo\;s b
 ook based on Lemon&rsquo\;s life. Her book\, Lemon the Duck\, introduces
  children to the concept of special needs and teaches them that life can
  be full even in the face of disability. Backman and Lemon\, who reside 
 in Rhode Island\, will visit to share their personal story of living abo
 ve disability. Lemon will be available for a meet and greet with childre
 n. She will also pose for photos with our young guests. Books will be av
 ailable for sale\, with all proceeds going to the MS Society.\n
