Annual Summer Gala, Sponsored by The Hilton Group at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney and The Prestige Family of Fine Cars
On the evening of July 7, the waterfront campus of IYRS will be transformed for a landmark celebration. At 5:30 pm, doors open to the IYRS Annual Summer Gala with a theme of “Mastering the Craft: 15 Years of Excellence.” Title sponsors The Hilton Group at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney and The Prestige Family of Fine Cars, with event co-chairs Jamie Hilton of Newport and Pam Rorke Levy of San Francisco, will help orchestrate an evening that will mark IYRS milestones. The Gala will feature a series of small exhibits that will chronicle the school’s 15 years of evolution—from a small class of students in a single program to a thriving educational institution with three full-time programs in Boatbuilding & Restoration, Marine Systems and Composites Technology; two campuses in Newport and Bristol; and an international cadre of students and successful graduates who have forged careers as craftsmen, skilled technicians, and business owners.
The Gala crowns an entire weekend of festivity centered around IYRS. Two levels of Gala tickets are available: 5:30 pm – midnight, for a cocktail reception, sit-down dinner, live and silent auctions, and dancing ($375 per person); or 9 pm – midnight for cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and dessert, silent auction, and dancing ($100 per person).
