  Jamestown  Arts  Center in Jamestown\, RI on Wednesday\, August 15 from
  6-8pm to  celebrate  the work of the artists in BIGGER: Glorious Object
 s and to  learn more  about the show&rsquo\;s concept from the curator\,
  Jesse Smith.  Artists and  curator will be in attendance to answer ques
 tions and  engage in a  dialogue with the audience. In the words of the 
 curator: &ldquo\;The resulting miracle of an artist&rsquo\;s creative co
 mmitment often appears  through beautiful\, skillfully constructed  form
 s. Today\, such objects  bear close scrutiny\, signaling authenticity  a
 nd value amidst a noisy  culture of received ideas and fashionable  clut
 ter. Even though  recurring waves of conceptual trends eventually  becom
 e obsolete. What  doesn&rsquo\;t change from year to year\, decade to  d
 ecade\, millennium to  millennium is beauty found in objects created by 
  skillful hand\, eye\,  and commitment.&rdquo\; BIGGER: Glorious Objects
  runs through Aug. 22. Gallery hours are Wednesday through Sunday\, 10am
 -2pm.
