The 2012 Tuesday Evening Summer Series Food Events and Free Concerts take place weekly at Sweet Berry Farm. Bring blankets and chairs - in case of rain, the concerts move indoors to the event barn. Concerts are free.
Chef Scott has planned themed menus for purchase at each event, but you must reserve a meal ahead because quantities are limited. Alll dinners are $19.50, and picnic tables are reserved for meal-ticket holders.
Al concerts up to Aug. 7 are from 6 to 8 pm; the concerts for Aug 14, 21, 28 and from 5:30 to 7:30 pm as the summer days grow shorter.
July 17, 2012: The Lois Vaughan Quartet: Classic Jazz and Latin. Old Time Spaghetti Dinner: Caesar salad, hand-rolled meatballs, sausage, spaghetti with our own marinara, garlic bread, Italian ice.
July 24, 2012: Back Eddy Bluegrass: The South Will Rise: Pecan-raspberry-peach salad, BBQ pork sandwich with Alabama slaw on a pretzel roll, chipotle sweet-potato salad, honey-butter roasted corn, whoopie pie.
July 31, 2012: Abbey Rhode: Beatles Tribute Band, Southern Hospitality: Watermelon consommé with feta & mint, pecan chicken with peach chutney, brown rice & roasted corn salad, sweet tea, fruit crumble à la mode.
August 7, 2012: The Elderly Brothers: Music from the 50s & 60s.Tex-Mex Tuesday: Aztec chili, chicken fajita with peppers & onions, beans & rice, corn & poblano tarts, spicy chocolate orange tarts.
August 14, 2012: Michelle Lewis: New to Sweet Berry Farm, with creative rich originals, folk to pop classics. Dog Days of Summer: Tomato soup with grilled cheese croutons, peach-Gorgonzola stuffed pork loin, roasted brown rice, eggplant tomato napoleon, Chipwich.
August 21, 2012: Big Cat Blues: Louisiana Love Fest: Chicken sausage gumbo, muffaletta sandwich, Creole vegetable slaw,
bread pudding with whiskey sauce.
August 28, 2012: Los Sugar Kings: Latin Fusion, rico y picante. Tapas!

More About Sweet Berry Farm
In 1980, Sweet Berry Farm opened their farm stand and today, countless people enjoy buying fresh produce and the goods baked on the premises in the post-and-beam building. Customers can also sit in the Greenhouse cafe eating breakfast or lunch overlooking the one hundred acre preserved farmland vista. During the summer you can pick your own strawberries and blueberries. In the fall apple picking is a favorite with families. The wide open orchard field is available to rent for weddings, corporate events or gala fundraisers. Free concerts are held in the picnic area some evenings in the summer. Newport Life Magazine readers voted Sweet Berry Farm the Best Locally Grown Food 2010.
