 became "a place of recovery and recuperation" at a time when medicine wa
 s failing. It was the Civil War and little has been written about the ho
 spital at Portsmouth Grove (Melville).&nbsp\; Books will be available fo
 r purchase.&nbsp\; Presentation will begin at 10:30. Rhode Island Blood 
 Center will be open from 10:00 until 2:00.
