Portsmouth Free Public Library will hold its 29th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting on Sunday, December 2 before 6 PM at Portsmouth Free Public Library, 2658 East Main Road. Cocoa and cookies will be served in the Library lobby. The tree lighting will take place when Santa Claus arrives on a fire truck at 6 PM. An extra treat this year is a reading of ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas by a Portsmouth Lion’s Club member. After the reading, Santa will greet each child and candy canes will be given to each one. Bring a camera!
