Tell us your favorite place to take your vehicle.
Unless you already have a reliable mechanic, finding a place to get your car repaired can be a nerve-wracking experience. It's often expensive, and you're almost always left wondering if you got the best deal (or if the repair was even necessary). Word of mouth is one way to find someone trustworthy, and that's why this week's "Best Of" poll wants you to voice your opinion on the best car repair shop in town. When your headlight burns out or you have a flat tire, do you visit Ray's Auto Clinic Inc. or Frank's Auto Repair? Oliveira's Garage or Valley View Auto Service? Or maybe you've been involved in a crash and needed Aquidneck Collision to help? We want to hear your thoughts on which local spot is the best place to get your wheels …

What kind of business do you think should go here?
Instead of a business this week, we decided to find out what you think should go at the former Elmhurst Elementary School. The Elmhurst Planning Committee is currently debating the future use of this site, but we want to know what you think. We want to know what businesses (or anything else) you think would thrive in that location. What should happen to this former school?

Carlone's Florist will make more than 250 deliveries this Valentine's Day.
From giant smiles to gleeful shouts of surprise, several local women reacted happily Tuesday as their Valentine's Day gift arrived at their place of employment. Carlone's Florist planned to make more than 250 deliveries in Portsmouth, Middletown and Newport this Valentine's Day, a sharp increase from last year. Carlone's manager Brian Weeks said he believed the increase was due to an improving economy and the use of social media, such as Facebook and Twitter, to promote their small business. "It's a crazy day, but a good kind of crazy," Weeks said. "We have 15 to 20 employees around and all working for the one goal - to make sure everyone gets a good, quality arrangement." What kind of business do you think should go here?
While some businesses in Portsmouth have been around for "as long as you can remember," some have closed their doors, either due to poor economic times or simply moving to a new location. All About You, a salon offering reflexology, reiki and warm stone therapy, will soon close its doors. The business is located in the same plaza as Green Grocer and New Horizons. We want to know what businesses you think would thrive in that location. What type of business would you like to inhabit this soon-to-be empty storefront?
