Well true Joe the price is dropping. The problem will still be the electronics. Unlike the LED used Read Morein other items. When used for light source there is considerable strain on the electronic, and until they can fix that at a cost effective price. Mass production will not happen to bring the price down. It is also to the manufactures advantage to have products they can advertise as a 100,000 hours (The LED itself so they are not lying). But have it not last that long and have to be replaced since they cannot be repaired cost effectively. But they are a lot better than the this insane push on the Compact florescent bulbs bulbs.

"The anticipated gridlock that very likely will occur..." Why does every think thisRead Morechang e will create gridlock? It didn't happen when Turnpike Ave changed from 4 to 2 lanes. It was hardly even noticed, and I'll bet the Bristol Ferry change will be the same.
