Hi Harold, I don’t follow Patch much, but I heard this was on here so I thought I wouldRead Morerespo nd. Although I did not write the letter you are referring to, I do agree with it. I also have other concerns with this matter. At the PUC hearing A&R Marine testified that even if they were the only ferry company rates would go up at least 6%. I assume that if there are two ferries that percentage will go up. This is not in the best interest of the rate payers or the Town of Portsmouth. Prudence Ferry has filed in Superior Court to have the certificate that was issued to A&R nullified. Does this sound like a company that plans to just go away? But the most disturbing thing to me is how this has come about. On October 15, 2013 the Council would not advocate for either ferry service, even though they were being urged to by John Klimm and Gary Crosby. Gary Crosby wanted the Council to intervene in the proceedings at PUC for A&R’s certificate. The Council declined to do so. They were told by the Council to attend the PUC hearing to be available to answer questions only. On October 23 lawyers for the Town filed a motion to intervene for the Town of Portsmouth. At the October 29, 2013 PUC hearing when Gary Crosby was asked if the Town had a preference as to which ferry service it wanted, he said that the Town had no preference. In Kevin Gavin’s legal brief dated January 28, 2014 it states over and over again that the Town wants A&R to be the ferry service. This is what PUC based its decision on. There had been no Council agenda items between October 15 and January 28 concerning this matter. How did this happen without Council approval? Lawyers do not write opinions without somebody telling them to do so. I assume it was John Klimm. Is our Town now being run by one person? Not the way it’s supposed to be. We elect seven people to set policy for the Town. This is done so one person cannot use their power or the power of the Town for personal vendettas. I fear that this is what is happening here. Remember. If this can be done to someone, even if it is someone you don’t like, it can be done to you.

Hey Harold, before you accuse someone of writing a article, why don't you figure out who wrote itRead Morefi rst!

Oh wow, Judi. When you were council VP you and Joe Robicheau were the moving forces behindRead Moreunceremon iously dumping Bob Driscoll as Town Administrator. Talk about a personal vendetta. Years of service and experience and pushed out the door but hey, everything was going to be fine once we got rid of Driscoll. How's that working out for you? YOU and your PCC/Republican colleagues hired Mr. Klimm, now you're not so happy with him because he's not doing what you and your friend/Republican candidate/wife of ferry owner, Erica Medley want him to do?
