NO tolls at all
THe State now intends to put tolls on 24 between the Fish road exit and the Adamsville exit, They say that will let locals get around it . WRONG, it will make anyone who lives in newport county and works in Fall River pay daily, 3 nurses on my street alone will get hit with this, Any one who's docter is in fall River will be subject to this The TDTC seems to have excepted this answer and it's not an answwer at all, I hope that portsmouth offical remain strong in the fight against this

If there is no such plan in place then why would Mike burk of the TDTG mention it and say rep Edwards and Mr Canario were speaking of it?

If the RIBTA and the State go ahead with the toll on the Sakonnet River Bridge, We the people of Aquidneck Island and Newport County should file suit against the State Of Rhode Island and seek an immediate court injunction to stop the toll for Unfair taxes and discrimination. I feel this toll is uncontitutional and illegal based on southern Rhode Island residents paying a higher tax rate than central and northern Rhode Island communities.

If any one saw tonights (Thursday September 6,) news on Channel 12, Cicciline, Gema,Doherety, all talking about the NO TOLLS !!! I was so surprised. I only heard bits and peices of it but folks, it all looks good. Can't believe the attention we are now getting, but yes, it is close to election time, isn't it? Aquidneck Island carries a lot of votes.So does tiverton and Little Compton and Bristol. I guess we can get a pretty good idea who won't be in office soon coming.....sooner or later. I would love to see Chaffee's face when he finds out. He lied!!!! Not surprising, that's what politians do. To all who got out there and protested, all who stood in the rain with signs, all who went around collecting votes, all who kept the faith that we could stand togeher, that the people rule, and have a voice 3 cheers to all of you and me :-) It isn't over yet but it sure looks good. Maybe you can google the information. Or if you gert this in time, catch the 11:00 P.M. news. Channel 12........God bless all.
