Help the PHS Band get to the Inauguration

In an e-mail to supporters this morning, the PHS Music Boosters announced a campaign to raise funds for the PHS band's trip to DC to march in the Inauguration Parade on January 21. I just made a donation, and hope you'll consider it too. Here's their e-mail:

We are going back to DC!
Dear Friend:
We are extremely proud of our selection to represent Rhode Island in the 57th Presidential Inaugural Parade in Washington, DC on Monday, January 21, 2013. Upon receipt of the invitation last week, the Music Department here at PHS and the PHS Music Boosters began working on plans to make this honor, and once-in-a-lifetime experience, a reality for the 165 members of our marching band, color guard and dance team. In order to keep the cost of participation manageable for us and our families, the Boosters have set a goal of raising $30,000 to help offset transportation, lodging, meals and other incidental expenses.
In order to meet this goal, we are asking for sponsorships and donations from local businesses and individuals such as you. With just under three weeks before we depart, and with an estimated per student cost of $250, we are asking for monetary donations to support the trip as well as donations of hand warmers, bottled water, packaged protein bars and similar food items. If you are able to make a tax deductible monetary contribution, please mail your check payable to the PHS Music Boosters, to PO Box 21, Portsmouth, RI 02871, or visit www.portsmouthmusicboosters.org where donations via PayPal can be made. If you wish to donate supplies for the trip please contact us and we will make arrangements to receive your items.
If you have any questions about our trip, please contact me.
Thank you in advance for your support.

Please remember you can post under any screen name. I would like to think this guy has already made enough of a horses a** of himself and would be smart enough to not spew this garbage... As we all the the people who like to stir the pot on this site tend to post under numerous names.

Thanks to Boy Scout Troop 1 Portsmouth who contributed $250. By the way, a number of scouts are in the band.

Music Boosters: keep us updated so we know where you are.
