DPW Director Dave Kehew Discusses Blizzard Response on PTW

On Friday's edition of Portsmouth this Week, host Jeff Richard interviewed Portsmouth Department of Public Works Director Dave Kehew and discussed the vital work that the DPW accomplished to get roads and intersections cleared of snow after winter storm NEMO. Director Kehew complimented the work ethic of his full time and part time workers during the storm, and attributed the lack of any major problems in Portsmouth to their hard work and long hours behind the wheel of snow plows, trucks and other equipment. One of the more interesting issues discussed was the complicated system of state and town roads and the division of responsibilities between state and town public works departments to clear them.

Portsmouth this Week, "The Voice of Portsmouth Town Hall," is a weekly public service television program started by Town Administrator, John Klimm. It airs on Public television (Cox channel 18) on Wednesday evenings at 7:30 PM. It can also be seen by clicking on the video box above or from links on the Portsmouth Town

Thanks to all who kept our streets clear. Police, fire and Public works did a great job! Portsmouth was head and shoulders above any other nearby town. This is a great town to call home.
