After many long years Portsmouth residents can play bingo once again at the VFW on 822 Anthony Rd. in Common Fence Point. On Sunday July 22 the Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars will hold their first bingo! The games will be played on paper cards. There will be 26 games played, all prizes will be $$$ money games. Anyone bringing a non-perishable food item will be able to play an additional game free. Prices to play bingo will vary depending on how many cards you play. Doors open at 11:00am, bingo starts at 1:00pm and will run until approximately 4:00pm.
All proceeds from the game will be donated to Cancer Aid and Research. Since 1947 the Ladies Auxiliary members nation wide have raised more than 100 million dollars for the cause. We have given to more than 100 research centers such as: Mayo Clinic and Cancer Center, Rochester Mn., St. Judes Research Hospital, Memphis, Tenn. and The JacksonLabratory , Bar Harbor, ME.. Our annual goal for the last 17 years has been $3,000,000, please help us to reach that goal this year.
So all you bingo bunnies come down to the VFW post this Sunday, enjoy the air conditioning, hopefully win some money and support a great cause!

This will depend on the attendance. If we have a good responce we will do it again, as to how frequent I won't be able to answer that until we have the first bingo. Each time we do have it we will be raising money for our various philathropic programs. All money raised will go to Cancer/Aid and Research this Sunday. Please come out and support a great cause.
