Where to Spot Santa Claus This Weekend
Here's a look at where Santa Claus will appear this Saturday and Sunday in Portsmouth and neighboring communities.
Looking to spot Santa Claus this weekend? Need to hand over that lengthy Christmas wish list? Well, he won't be at the North Pole! Instead, he'll be stopping by various places in Portsmouth and neighboring towns.
Here's a look at where Santa will be this weekend:
Portsmouth
- Starting at 6 p.m. on Saturday — Santa begins his annual visit to Portsmouth. He will visit Common Fence Point, borders from Anthony Road to Mt. View Road, Attleboro Avenue to Narragansett Boulevard; Narragansett Bay to West Main Road; Portsmouth Abbey, Cory's Lane to Debra Drive. For more on this visit and where to find him next, see the complete Santa schedule here.
- On Sunday, Santa will appear at the Portsmouth Free Public Library's 29th annual Christmas Tree Lighting before 6 p.m. Cocoa and cookies will be served in the Library lobby. The tree lighting will take place when Santa Claus arrives on a fire truck at 6 p.m. An extra treat this year is a reading of ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas by a Portsmouth Lion’s Club member. After the reading, Santa will greet each child and candy canes will be given to each one. Bring a camera!
Did we miss a Santa sighting? Tell us here and we'll add the visit to our list!
