Where Do You Go for a Staycation in Town?
Portsmouth Patch needs your help with this week's Readers' Choice poll.
Next week's Readers' Choice poll will determine where is the best place to have a "staycation," a vacation in town, and I need your help!
What places should be included in the poll? Where do you go to unwind, relax and take a few days off in town?
So far, I've included Green Animals and Sandy Point Beach.
Want to nominate a business that should be included in our poll?
Send your nomination to Sandy@Patch.com or comment in the section below. This will allow us to be sure we don't leave anyone out.
And don't forget to cast your vote for this week's Readers' Choice: Best Spot for Mother's Day Brunch in Portsmouth. Voting ends Friday at 9 a.m.

When I get a break, it's a glass of wine and a chair in my yard under the peach tree. That is the perfect spot!

If you have a boat it's Potter's Cove! (Of course Newport Harbor works great too!)

See this great scene...it has lifeguards. Thanks to our new budget, this will be lacking for some time. and yes, you pay for this lack of service if you purchase a dump sticker.

I like to walk along the water at the end of McCorrie Ln and there's no beach fee!

There's also no fee for walking (yet) nor walking on any beach. However, if you should walk on Sandy Point beach and find yourself in harms way, out Town Council members are putting a hold on lifeguards so you will be left without safety measures.
