What's Open and Closed in Portsmouth on New Year's Day 2012

Here's a look at the holiday closings in Portsmouth.

Here's a look at what's open and closed this Sunday, Jan. 1, 2012:

U.S. Post Office (Portsmouth location) — Closed 

Portsmouth Town Hall — Closed

Portsmouth Free Public Library — Closed 

Portsmouth Transfer Station — Closed

Portsmouth public schools — Closed as usual 

Grocery Stores

Convenience Stores/Gas Stations

  • Rite Aid — The store at 3034 East Main Road will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. with the pharmacy open 10 to 4. The store at 2456 East Main Road will be open regular hours with pharmacy open 10 to 4. 
  • CVS/Pharmacy — Store will be open regular hours; pharmacy closing at 6 p.m. 

Coffee Shops

  • Dunkin' Donuts — The Dunkin' Donuts at 3001 East Main Road will be open regular hours; the West Main location will open late. 

Chinese Restaurants

  • China Gourmet — Open regular hours

Pizza Delivery

Taverns

Liquor Stores

  • All liquor stores in town are closed today in accordance with state law.
