What's On Tap For The Weekend?

Here's a few ideas on what to do Saturday and Sunday in Rhode Island.

  1. The annual Great Chowder Cook Off is this weekend in Newport.
  2. The Audubon Society of RI's Environmental Education Center in Bristol has a Free Family Fun Day Saturday, with free admission courtesy of the Citizens Bank Foundation. There's a new path to explore—and also a new exhibit on local whaling history opens on Sunday.
  3. The annual St. Columba's English Garden party is this Saturday in Middletown.
  4. The Friends of Tiverton Libraries are holding a fundrasier to support summer reading programming tomorrow, June 2, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Tiverton High School. There will be a book sale, bake sale, kids activities, Tiverton Education Foundation Touch a Truck, LIONs cookout, Garden Club Plant Sale. It's held indoors, so don't worry about the rain!
