Last month, Patch asked readers what were Portsmouth's most ignored stop signs. We received more than a dozen responses from concerned residents.
Today, Patch would like readers to comment on intersections that should have a stop sign, but do not.

How about in front of Melville Middle School. There should be a crosswalk there as well. It amazes me the speed limit is 45 mph. I realize that the speed limit is 20 mph when school is in but there are those who ignore and school in or out, 45 mph is too fast. Drivers think they can go 55 mph. Make it 35 mph when school is out. I see people going around the drivers who obey the school zone. If Portsmouth wants to raise money have the police monitor that section I guarantee they will not be bored. The money from these tickets will certainly help with the town expenses.

If drivers are going 55 when the speed limit is 20 mph they will still be going 55 if the speed limit is changed to 35 mph.
