Watch Live: Sen. Moura, Rep. Gordon To Discuss Foreclosure Settlement

Sen. Bethany L. Moura and Rep. Dan Gordon will hold a press conference today. You can watch the conference live by clicking the link below.

The following is from a press release issued by the office of Rep. Daniel P. Gordon.

Sen. Bethany L. Moura (R–Dist. 19, Cumberland, Lincoln) and Daniel P. Gordon Jr. (R–Dist. 71, Little Compton, Portsmouth, Tiverton) will host a news conference today to express their concerns with the state-federal mortgage foreclosure settlement to which Attorney General Peter Kilmartin last week joined Rhode Island.

The settlement funds will do little to provide relief to Rhode Islanders who have faced the devastation of losing their homes, the legislators said, and they contend that there has been a lack of transparency in the process.

The news conference will be held today at 3:15 p.m. in the Senate Lounge on the second floor of the State House.

The event will stream live, here: http://ustre.am/GptV.

Moura, a real estate agent, serves on the Senate Committees on Corporations and Health and Human Services. RGordon, who is self employed in commercial construction, serves on the House Committees on Corporations, Veterans’ Affairs, and Health, Education and Welfare.

Both are serving their first term in the General Assembly.

Quick, everyone drop what you are doing and head up to the Statehouse to witness the 2 least effective lawmakers hold a press conference. Check the roll call logs, these 2 have missed more sessions then they have made!
