Votes Certified for Town Council, School Committee
Candidates for local office will be sworn-in next Monday, Nov. 15.
Registrar of Voters Madeleine Pencak smiles during a busy day at Town Hall on Tuesday. Pencak said that as of 10 a.m., 759 ballots had been cast throughout town. The turnout at the September primary at 10 a.m. was only 392 ballots. "I expect the turnout to be at 30 to 40 percent," Pencak said.

The votes for Town Council and School Committee races were certified Tuesday afternoon, said Madeleine M. Pencak, registrar of voters.
The deadine for local canididates to request a recount was Tuesday at 4 p.m.
Votes for state races, including the race for District 71, will be certified by the state Board of Elections. Only one recount has been requested for the District 71 race. For more on this recount, click here. The results from this recount are expected by Wednesday evening.
The newly-elected Town Council, School Committee and town clerk will be sworn into office on Monday, Nov. 15, at 7 p.m. at Town Hall.
