One baby uses a ball to gain advantage in the 17th annual Diaper Derby.

After a few tears and cheers Thursday at Clements' Marketplace, four babies crawled their way across the mat to race in the 17th annual Huggies Baby Derby.

The derby is held each year at Clements' Marketplace, where babies compete in a crawling race for the grand prize—a case of Huggies' diapers.

Parents stand at the finish line and encourage their child to crawl by using toys, keys or food. Babies can be disqualified if they stand or walk.

This year's race featured a race off between four tiny competitors.

The grand prize winner for the 17th annual Huggies Baby Derby was Chase Moniz.

The second place winner was Nicholas Warren. Other competitors, who tied for third place, were Sophie Gianinni and Angelia Williams.
