Tuesday: Teen Board Games; Sweet Berry Farm Concert

Here are five things you should know today in Portsmouth.

 
  1. Today will be mostly sunny with a high of 88 degrees.
  2. BankNewport is holding a children's book drive through July 21, at the bank branches. All of the books collected will be distributed Aug. 18 as part of Bank Newport's sponsorship of the Back to School Celebration RI event at CCRI in Newport.   3. The Portsmouth Economic Development Committee meets today at 4:30pm and the Lower Glen Farm Preservation Committee meets at 7 pm.
  4. Teens in the Summer Reading Program are invited to stay cool at the library this afternoon and play board games, including a giant Scrabble game. 
  5. Tonight's free concert at Sweet Berry Farm in Middletown features the Lois Vaughan Quartet.
