Town Advertises for Civilian Dispatchers
An ad seeking civilian dispatchers for the fire department was recently posted.
The town of Portsmouth has posted an advertisement seeking civilian dispatchers for the Portsmouth Fire Department.
The ad was posted on the Sakonnet Times Web site Wednesday.
The advertisement says applicants must be 21 years old and possess either a high school diploma or GED.
Applicants must also demonstrate technical and computer skills, meet departmental medical standards and pass a written test.
Previous applicants should call (401) 683-9118. Applications are also available in the Finance Department at Town Hall during the week from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
