Police Seeking Info on Whereabouts of Tiverton Teen

The following report was issued by the Tiverton Police Department.

Tiverton police are seeking information regarding the well-being of a 16-year-old local girl, Ester Brooks, who was reported missing on Dec. 29.

According to Lt. Patrick Jones and Det. Brendan McKinnon, Brooks' parents came into the police station on Dec. 29 to report their daughter, Ester, was missing.

"They had no contact with her for a period of time," McKinnon said.

Ester was reportedly staying with her biological father, who lives in Quincy, MA, and had run away. McKinnon said her biological mother lives in Tiverton, and both parents were reportedly trying to get Ester out of Tiverton.

"We had information that she could be staying with friends in Tiverton, and there was concern for her well-being," McKinnon said. "She's not in any trouble. We just want to make sure she's alive and safe."

Anyone with information outside Tiverton about Ester is urged to contact their local police department. Anyone in town who has information about the girl is urged to call McKinnon, who is the lead investigator, at 401-625-6717.
