Thursday: 'Carousel' On Stage, Governor in Town, PHS Freshmen Orientation

Here are five things you should know today in Portsmouth.

 

 

  1. Governor Lincoln Chafee is scheduled to visit Portsmouth Town Hall today at 8:30 am - his visit is open to the community.

  3. Today is the Freshmen Orientation for Portsmouth High School.
  4. Aerial spraying for mosquitoes takes place in Portsmouth this evening between 7 and 11 pm. For more details, see this recent Patch story.
  5. The Portsmouth Community Theater continues performances of Rodgers and Hammerstein's "Carousel" at the Aquidneck Island Christian Academy.  Shows are at 7 pm every night through Saturday, and Sunday at 1 pm.  Seating is limited to please reserve your tickets ($9 each) at 683-1460.
